Students to showcase business, leadership skills
Business Professionals of America members will have the opportunity to demonstrate occupational competency and leadership skills through 66 individual and team competitive events from the following categories: financial skills, administrative support, information services/systems and management/marketing/human resources. Students placing in state events will qualify to compete in the 2013 National Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference May 8-12 in Orlando, Florida.
Who: 1,000 middle and high school students, 150 middle and high school teachers and 100 community representatives serving as judges

When: February 27 through March 1, 2013
Where: Sheraton Inn and Conference Center, 1570 N. DuPont Highway, Dover
Media Note: Because of national BPA guidelines, students cannot be photographed or taped during actual competition. However, students can be interviewed immediately following each event. More than 400 middle school students will be competing together on Wednesday, February 27; 600 high school students will do so on Thursday, February 28.
