Students in FCCLA receive training through co-curricular activities within their classroom and after school, under the advisement of family and consumer science teachers. In addition to the various workshops and competitions that will take place during the Dover conference, voting delegates will select the next slate of state officers and the chapter adviser of the year will be named.
Media Note: Because of national competition guidelines, students cannot be photographed or taped during actual competition. However, students can be interviewed immediately following each event. And photography is permitted during the workshops and demonstrations. A chef from Johnson and Wales University will be doing a demonstration between 1:45 and 2:30 as well as 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
