Educators Map Out Children's Road to Success at 18th Annual Delaware Head Start Conference
What: Delaware Head Start Association’s 18th annual conference “Roadmap to Excellence”
When: 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011
Where: Delaware Technical & Community College’s Terry Campus in Dover
Background:
With the understanding that what children experience birth to age 5 has a direct impact on their future success in school and life, early education providers from across the state will gather in Dover to share successes and learn from best practices. Workshop topics range from making smooth transitions to pre-school and kindergarten readiness to conflict resolution and parent engagement strategies.
At 10:15 a.m., Ann Linehan, acting deputy director of the Office of Head Start, will give the keynote address followed by special remarks from Delaware Education Secretary Lillian Lowery at 10:45 a.m.
