Secretary of Education to Honor Delaware's Top High School Scholars
Who: Lillian M. Lowery, Ed.D., Secretary of Education; Thomas R. Carper, Senator; Teri Quinn Gray, Ph.D., President, State Board of Education; members of both the House and Senate; present and former State Teachers of the Year; Rodel Foundation of Delaware; other representatives from the business community, higher education and educationally-related organizations, family and friends.
What: Seventy-three students from Delaware’s public high schools to be honored at the annual Secretary of Education Scholars Dinner.
When: Monday, May 10, 2008, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, Dover.
Why: Delaware’s top scholars were nominated and selected by their principals for being exemplary scholars of the graduating class of 2010. They were also selected based upon awards received of state, regional, or national significance.
