Seven High Schools Participate in Sportsmanship Conference
(Dover, DE.) The first Henlopen Conference Leadership Conference was recently held at Cape Henlopen High School where seven high schools (Caesar Rodney, Cape Henlopen, Indian River, Lake Forest, Polytech, Sussex Technical and Dover) participated.
The conference was an extension of the summer workshop held at University of Delaware in an effort to continue to promote sportsmanship and leadership from the student-athletes to their communities. Student athletes discussed what it meant to be leaders and how to display sportsmanship during athletic events and in school settings. They also worked on an action plan for the Henlopen Conference and discussed creating committees for each school to positively promote sportsmanship.
