Twenty Candidates Vie For State "Teacher of the Year" Honors
--“Top” teacher to be announced October 27th--
(Dover, DE.) - Twenty of Delaware's best educators representing each school district and several charter schools in the state have been nominated for the distinction of becoming Delaware's Teacher of the Year for 2010. The 19 women and one man were chosen through a nomination process from more than 8800 Delaware teachers statewide. The announcement of the 2010 Teacher of the Year will be made by Governor Jack Markell on Tuesday, October 27th at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino in Dover.
