2009 National Asst. Principal of the Year Nominee Dr. John Demby

The Delaware Association of School Administrators (DASA) is pleased to announce that Dr. John Demby has been named a as the Delaware nominee for the 2009 National Assistant Principal of the Year.  This award is sponsored jointly by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and Virco.

Dr. Demby is currently an Assistant Principal at Sussex Technical High School.  The State and National Assistant of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle level and high school assistant principals who have demonstrated success in leadership, curriculum and personalization.

From the state winners, three finalists are selected to become eligible for the National Assistant Principal of the Year award.  The NASSP/Virco National Assistant Principal of the Year will receive a $5,000 grant.  In addition, all of the State winners will be guests at a Forum and Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C.  The attendees will have the opportunity to share best practices and expertise with other state winners.
