--Nearly 550 students expected to attend annual event---

WHAT:  Joint BPA/DECA Conference
WHEN:  Thursday, October 23, 2008, 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
WHERE:  Sheraton Inn and Conference Center, Dover.

The Delaware Associations of Business Professionals of America (BPA) & DECA, an Association of Marketing Students, will host an annual Joint Fall Leadership Conference where 543 students and advisors statewide will gather to develop leadership skills in students who are pursuing careers in business, finance, and marketing. Students will learn leadership skills, practice these skills in an environment for learning and application and develop awareness for community service and good citizenship.

BPA & DECA are nationally recognized as career and technical student organizations for students enrolled in business, finance, and marketing related courses. Students attending these conferences have opportunities to develop leadership skills, and to practice many of the essential skills they learn in the classroom. Delaware BPA and DECA Conferences are held twice annually for member representatives of local middle and high school chapters.
