Championship Football Games Re-Scheduled
Double Header at Baynard Stadium on Saturday
Dover, Del.–December 9, 2003 The Division II championship football game between Archmere Academy and Concord High School has been rescheduled toSaturday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Baynard Stadium in Wilmington.
The Division I championship football game between St. Mark’s High School and Newark High School has been rescheduled toSaturday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m. at Baynard Stadium, as well.
Both games were postponed due to the weekend winter storms that left ice and snow on the bleachers and made walking on thesidewalks treacherous.
“I talked today with officials at Baynard Stadium and they assured me that the stadium will be ready for Saturday’s doubleheader,”said Jack Holloway, executive director for the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association.“I’m glad both championship games will be held this weekend and wish all of the teams the best of luck.”
